π‘ Good to know: Do you use a product feed for multiple purposes or multiple apps? You can use Import settings to filter your feed so that your catalog always only contains the desired products.
π‘ Good to know: Does your catalog contain the same product in different colors, quantities or sizes? Then make sure your recommendation does not consist only of similar products. Read: Group variants of products.
Want to (temporarily) exclude certain products from your product finder, without removing them completely from the catalog? Deactivate these products by setting them to βͺοΈ Inactive.
Excluding products within Aiden can be useful if:
1. You use a csv file for multiple apps or if you have specific products in your file that you (temporarily) do not want to show in the advice.
2. You cannot filter all desired products from your catalog with Import settings. You can then select and deactivate the remaining few.
3. You have products in your product feed that are very similar.
4. Your product feed consists of both the configurable product and the simple products, and you cannot group these products in your advice. By deactivating your simple products in Catalogue, you exclude them from your app, but customers can still make a choice in color and size on the product detail page.
5. You have seasonal products that you only want to show during a certain time period in your product finder.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Go to Catalogue.
2. To find the right products, you can use the search bar or set a filter.
3. Select the products you want to deactivate.
4. Click 'Set to Inactive'.
5. The affected products are now βͺοΈ Inactive and will no longer be visible:
a. in the preview and published product finder,
b. in the Matching section.
Do you want to add the products to your product finder again? Select them and use 'Set to Active'. If you had already matched these products, then the matching will be visible again. You do not have to re-match.
