Good news if you use Spotler Activate (previously known as Squeezely) as a Customer Data Platform (CDP): you can connect Aiden to Spotler Activate! After you enable the Spotler Activate integration, your product finders automatically sends a customer's answers and the products in their recommendation to the Spotler Activate 360-degree customer profile.

You can leverage all this data in many ways. Here are some best practices:

Enrich 360-degree customer profiles

By simply asking the right questions in your product finders, you will discover who your customers are, what their context is and what problem they want to solve.

For example, instead of guessing that a customer is a woman because they visited the "women's shoes" category page once, you can now be sure of their gender because they answered a question about it. Similarly, you can definitively determine their style preferences by creating a product finder on "find my style" in Aiden and linking the answers given to the Spotler Activate 360 profile.

Mail the advice to your customers

Activate an email link and set up a journey in Spotler Activate through which a customer will be sent their recommended products. The new Spotler Activate integration makes this even easier. Aiden automatically sends the collected email addresses to the right place in Spotler Activate - including the permission to receive the newsletter. Easily set up the rest of the journey and triggers in Spotler Activate and link the data to your email platform.

Personalize your website using advised products

Create a product set with recommended products and use this set in a Spotler Activate personalization to promote the recommended products elsewhere on your website.

Ready to get started? Follow the steps below to set up your Spotler Activate link.

πŸ’‘ Good to know: If a customer rejects cookies, Spotler Activate will not load on your website and the Spotler Activate link will not work. Are you using the link to send a follow-up email? If so, it is advisable to let the customer know that without cookie consent, the email will not be sent.

Good to know: the events are not case sensitive.

πŸ’‘Good to know: The events are the same for all product finders. Use the custom_aiden_app_name or custom_aiden_app_id fields to connect a journey, or audience to events of one or more specific product finders.

Follow these steps to collect Aiden data in Spotler Activate:

1. Log in to your Spotler Activate account and go to Data. Scroll down to fields and add the following custom fields with data type text:

  • aiden_question

  • aiden_app_name

  • aiden_answers

  • aiden_checkbox

  • aiden_app_id

  • aiden_identifier

2. In Aiden, go to Settings (bottom left of screen, where your name is). Click Integrations and activate the button on the Spotler Activate card.

If you don't see the Integrations page above, you are probably not an admin of your account or have the Essential license.

3. It can take up to 10 minutes for Aiden events to Spotler Activate flow in.

4. Check the Live Events page or the Events list on the Data page to see if the Aiden events are coming in:

That's all!

You can now set up journeys and personalizations based on the data collected in your product finders.

E-mail followup events

Once set up, you'll see that the 'answer' and 'advice' events flow immediately to Spotler Activate. The 'followup' events require a bit more setup and testing. There are three different followup events, below you will see a roadmap for each event. Always start by creating a testproduct finder by copying the real product finder.

Email customers their advice using the 'AidenFollowup' event

Mail customers their advice from the advice page while collecting valuable customer data with the standard "AidenFollowup" event.

1. First, copy product finder and add it to a test page on your website.

2. In Aiden, enable Email integration. To do this, go to the advice page in the Conversation section and click on the Customer contact tab.

3. Leave your own email address on the advice page of the test selector and verify that the AidenFollowup event and the EmailOptIn event appear in Spotler Activate.

4. Set up a journey in Spotler Activate and your email software to ensure that the email with the recommended products is actually sent. If you want to use the journey for specific product finders, make sure to set an entry targeting rule on the custom data field custom_aiden_app_name (or custom_aiden_app_id). By setting a rule on this field, you ensure that only the events from the specific product finders end up in the journey.

5. Once everything is working, you can turn on the 'Customer contact' feature in your original product finder(s). Don't forget to republish your custom product finder . Be sure to test them all, just to be sure!

Request customers' email address from empty advice

When no suitable products are found and the customer receives empty advice, you can request the e-mail address in order to still be able to help the customer.

Complete the following steps to request the e-mail address and process it in Spotler Activate.

1. First, copy product finder and add it to a test page on your website.

2. In Aiden, enable the Empty advice email integration. To do this, go to the advice page in the Conversation section and click on the Customer contact tab, at the bottom you will find the no results section.

3. Launch the test selection tool and leave your own email address on the no results advice page. Verify that the AidenNoResultsFollowup event and the EmailOptIn event appear in Spotler Activate.

4. Set up a journey in Spotler Activate and make sure these customers are contacted, this can be done by linking to your email software. If you want to use the journey for specific product finders, make sure to set an entry targeting rule on the custom data field custom_aiden_app_name (or custom_aiden_app_id). By setting a rule on this field, you ensure that only the events from the specific product finders end up in the journey.

5. Once everything is working, you can turn on the 'No results customer contact' feature in your original product finder(s). Don't forget to republish your custom product finder. Be sure to test them all, just to be sure!

Get customers' email address out on an info-page

You can also request the email address from an info-page. Go through the following steps to request the email address and process it in Spotler Activate.

1. First, copy product finder and add it to a test page on your website.

2. In Aiden, enable email integration on the info-page. To do this, go to the corresponding info-page in the Conversation section and click on the 'Customer contact' tab.

3. Launch the test selection tool and leave your own email address on the advice page with no results. Verify that the AidenInfoPageFollowup event and the EmailOptIn event appear in Spotler Activate.

4. Set up a journey in Spotler Activate, make use of the custom_aiden_identifier data field to ensure that the journey is only invoked at this specific info-page. In the journey, ensure that these customers are contacted, this can be done by linking to your email software. If you want to use the journey for specific product finders, make sure to set an entry targeting rule on the custom data field custom_aiden_app_name (or custom_aiden_app_id). By setting a rule on this field, you ensure that only the events from the specific product finders end up in the journey.

5. Once everything is working, you can turn on the 'customer contact' feature for the info-page in your original product finder(s). Don't forget to republish your custom product finder. Be sure to test them all, just to be sure!
